Church History:

Pastor Noyes was led by the Lord to start Truth Baptist Church (originally named Cherry Valley Baptist Church) in the Rock River Valley in 2001. Starting in August, 2001, over 1,000 doors a week were knocked in preparation for the opening service of the new church. The first service was conducted on September 9, 2001, in the Holiday Inn, Rockford, with 30 in attendance.

For the next three years, services were held in the conference rooms of the Holiday Inn for Sunday School, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Thursday evenings.

November, 2004, Cherry Valley Baptist Church was renamed Truth Baptist Church in conjunction with her move from the Holiday Inn on the edge of Cherry Valley to a leased building on Morsay Drive on the east central side of Rockford.

Truth Baptist remained on Morsay Drive for almost four years until New Hope Baptist Church of Machesney Park merged into Truth Baptist Church on September 14, 2008. At that time, Truth Baptist moved into the building having belonged to New Hope.

Truth Baptist Church is active in the obedience to the Great Commission “Command” by supporting 25 missionaries and actively attempting to reach her community with the Gospel door to door and individual by individual.
